Recently a young lady called Beth Bower approached Assheton Bowmen asking if we could offer some kind of donation to help raise money for family fun day. The event was in aid of Manchester Children’s Hospital and the money she raised was split 50/50 between the high dependency ward and the intensive care unit.
Beth organised the event with the help of her young nephew. When he was only 10-days-old he was rushed into intensive care and spent some time there fighting for his life before being moved to high dependency. He is now a very healthy happy 5-year-old who loves helping Beth at charity events she has planned in the past. Beth and her nephew decided they wanted to give something back to the place that helped save his life.
Assheton Bowmen donated two Beginners Course tickets and was a contributing factor in helping Beth raise almost £1,300.
Beth sent the club a very kind letter of appreciation.
